Been to Lidl today (Monday) the offer started today.

The only way I can describe it is it likes a little set of drawers (all removable) stacked up. Each one with the day of the week on, Sunday for some reason is in red. Each drawer having four separate compartments, morning, midday, evening and night. I have been able to put 10x500mg SLZ in one compartment, so each day does hold alot of pills.

Each drawer's got a slide across plastic lid on it, so if you are going out for the day you can easily take it with you. Just stack them up in the order of the days of the week from bottom to top. Each morning pull the days drawer out from the bottom and they will all slide down ready for that days drawer to go on top.

I have had days when I can't remember if I've taken my tablets, sometimes just do it on automatic pilot, just don't register what I've done. Sometimes we have to take certain drugs on certain days.....folic acid springs to mind here.

All of this for only .....£2.99. I think a bargain!!!!!!

I like the sound of that. I have something similar. It is a pill box for each day segregated into four. Each pill box is loose and fits into a nice snug case to go in my handbag so I can take all seven days with me or just the one pill box for the day. I got it from Ableworld and I think it was around the same price. There are more expensive versions available from Boots etc but this particular one has four sections which fits about six tablets each and the dearer versions do not seem to hold so much.

I must admit it is a life saver. I sit on a Sunday and deal out all my pills for the week, otherwise I would completely forget what to take or even if I have taken them.

When I brought home my first batch of meds, I almost cried because it seemed so confusing. I'm not the most organised person and I regularly forget to take my BP pills, so this little lot was overwhelming.

So I bought 4 of these (sorry pic is so big), and I keep one upstairs for my "before breakfast" meds, and the other 3 are in the kitchen with labels for "after breakfast"; "midday"; and "after dinner". I decided to keep them separate as I can take them with me if I'm out of the house at the relevant time. I paid £1.99 for each one - can't remember where though t was online.

It's been so simple since then and it also means that I plan for the week ahead and know when I need a repeat BEFORE I get desparate!!

I have two of these so that I can do 2 weeks of pills in one go - as I hate the job!!

My GP suggested it... I said - they are for old people..... he still insisted (I'm 50 now) - and since then it has made life so much simpler. He was worried I wasn't remembering everything... and he was right!!!

I've just got my daughter using them too (she's 23) - as she was always forgetting to take everything!!

Must have missed this thread, but I recently bought a pill box at one of those bargain type shops, only cost £1.00!
It has 7 boxes sloted into a tray ie. mon tues etc easy to get out, and each box has 4 compartments, each with a little trigger release lid for very easy opening ie. breakfast, dinner etc.
It is absolutely brill. the best type I have seen around. It even has braill dots on it.
I had been looking for a while, some were too hard to get into , others only had one compartment per day and some were very expensive. It was from a shop called B&Ms.
On a morning I just take out box for that day, and its clear at a glance whether I've remembered to take the tbs after a meal or not.
My biggest prob. was just remembering if Ive taken them or not so its great.
Just fill it up at the beg of each week, what a bargain! luv it.
I am easily pleased these days!! Zena xx

I use to think that I didn't need one. but since using the one I got from Lidl I have changed my mind. I fill mine up on a Sunday, it only takes a few minutes and then all my meds are sorted for the week. I always put mine in the kitchen window sill and after I have taken my evening meds I put the one out for the next day. There is no trying to open bottles and getting tablets out of foil packets in the morning when my fingers are at their worst.

I really would recommend getting one.
